GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH

Service du Mémorial'14-18

GENEALOGICAL ENQUIRIES

Are you looking to find an ancestor who lived through the Great War and perhaps lost their life there? Do you have information about a soldier but want to know more ?

The Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Mémorial’14-18 provides this form to help you with your research. We will examine your enquiry and look into additional information on the soldier concerned.

Notes :

  • Due to the condition of the archives and our limited human resources, we cannot guarantee an exhaustive response. It may also be the case that despite our research, we can only find limited information, which is a common problem in genealogy going back to World War I !
  • We focus our research on soldiers and not on civilians, as the research methods for this are very different and are not used in our field.
  • We offer this service to our visitors from when the museum opens. We make good use of our interest in genealogy and knowledge of several tools and databases to help you better understand the history of your ancestors.
  • If you do not have some of the information on the form, please mark it as “information missing or sought”.

FORM

Don’t forget to validate it at the end to ensure that your form is sent properly! This kind of research can sometimes take a lot of time: you will receive an e-mail 15 days after your enquiry, regardless of the result of the research. There is no need to get in touch with us.

This service is free !
